Fett smiled at Azhar. Azhar seemed very friendly, Fett was very glad about that. He gave a nod, putting a paw on his gut like he always did. "My day is going good, how about yours?" He raised his head slightly, and slowly began to rub his gut as he also always did. Actions like that were things he never even realized he was doing, it was just something he automatically did. When he did realize he was doing it, he felt embarrassed. Then he heard Alec's words. Something wrong? Scatter? Why? Fett's ear twitched. Come to think of it, he did hear something, and it gave him a bit of an uneasy feeling. He looked back at Azhar and all the other wolves, did they hear it too? Alec said to scatter. Fett wasn't sure why, but he felt that he should listen to Alec. He shifted position, ready to run at a moment's notice.

Kiana felt like something was wrong, very wrong. And it looked like the others could sense it as well. Kiana flicked an ear she heard as Alec spoke. "We need to scatter" she got to her paws, wondering what to do next. Amara tumbled over her, having just getting used to walking. She bumped into her brother. She shook her head. Amara looked at Kamaki, her unique red marking on her cheeks were a special trait. Kiana glanced at her children, feeling protective of them at the moment "Amara, Kamaki come here." she said to her children. Amara wobbled over and she wrapped a protective tail around her. She looked out.

it was the wicked and wild wind . . . . "It's been going very well, thank you for asking!" He said happily in answer to Fett's question. He then noticed that the giant had started to rub his large gut, something which made him look more at ease. He smiled. Well, at least the male was getting more settled in to this... party, of sorts.
Then Alec's answer to Azhar's question... intrigued him. In fact, he noticed that the king took no notice of his question at all, but rather spoke to a pup that the brightly colored male hadn't even noticed until now. Then the dark red wolf spoke of something being "terribly wrong", and how they had to scatter. Taken aback by this sudden oddness in behavior, he backed up from the other male, not bothering to ask his question more loudly again, so that Alec could hear him. Obviously, this king had gone crazy and paranoid from all of his power.
Shrugging it off, he turned his attention to Fett, who also seemed a bit concerned about what Alec had said. "Don't worry pal, that guy's just a bit paranoid is all. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about!" He said cheerily, trying to reassure his new friend. Looking around and out to the rest of the wolves, he suddenly noticed a strange white mist surrounding everyone. Excitedly, he called out, "Well hey now! Would ya look at that, who's pullin' off their fancy little spells, huh? I do quite like the mist though, gives the party a good feel!" However, the feeling he was getting from the fog was far from good. It made him shiver a bit, and gave him a feeling that something bad was going to happen soon. But, shrugging it off, he reassured himself that it was probably just some prank that someone was pulling off. . . . . blew down the doors to let me in

And so a vigilant, fanged twun watched over her party, oblivious to Azhar, Kiana, Fett, and Alec realized that something was wrong. Suddenly, there was a ghostly whisper, and the twun stood at the edge of her branch, unsettled. Nocte's nose sampled the air from all directions, yet no intruders was seen. She could feel another presence, yet not the tempting best of a heart, or rush of blood. She could practically see the danger, but it didn't have a visible pelt.
A strange owl was presiding over this, too. Its feathers were pure black, and extended far. Its eyes were not the normal bright yellow, Nocte observed, but rather, a pale red. A chill ran down the wolf's spine, and she took a step back to stare at the owl or avoid its gaze, but in an almost sickening, dizzying movement, its head followed her. What is this owl doing? The twun asked herself, followed by, Who knows? Suddenly, however, a strong response came back, almost making her ears ring- except the words were not spoken. I am a friend, so quit your thinking and take care of your party.
That was when Nocte realized that mist was swirling around the clearing, around the trees, around the wolves. Mist was around the top branches, snaking between available matter. Mist was everywhere. What had an old friend of Nocte's once said? That ghosts often appeared as mist. With a shudder, Nocte leapt down from the branch and padded over to some wolves she knew- Alec, king of Erebus. Kiana, a wolf who willingly have blood to Nocte. Fett, that ridiculously fat water wolf. And some other wolf she didn't know.
Alec was whispering to himself. That wasn't normal for a sexist, somewhat evil, tough-guy king of 'Erebus', which was founded by the god of the same name, and who Alec was apparently the son of. Kiana was gathering up her pups- who brings pups to a party?- and Fett seemed unsettled. The strange wolf didn't seem to worry about Alec's whispers- except he did. And Nocte did, too. The mist came dangerously close, lapping at her paws, and she jumped back. Her pelt was crawling, just about to turn to scales and more fur, but she didn't let it. Her fangs began to become more defined, snagging on her lower lip, but she struggled to make them less noticeable.
"There definitely is something wrong." Nocte said, desperately attempting to relax herself, but she couldn't. The mist drew ever closer. Nocte could hardly see anything but that terrible, white mist, and the nearby wolves. As it tried to come closer, she snapped away her paw, growling. "Something is terribly wrong!"

When the loner, Kiana, addressed him, Brutis half-bowed courteously. "Greetings, Milady," he said, though he didn't seem to look at her. His eyes shifted, trying to absorb everything around him. Just when he was starting to feel like nothing would go wrong for the two seconds it would take for him to converse with the loner, a fog set in and he heard voices whispering. It sounded like there were hundreds of them at once to Brutis' ears. And then Alec told everyone to split up.
"If we scatter, we allow ourselves to be attacked one by one, if there is a plot of attack to begin with. I don't like this one bit, but we shouldn't panic yet," he said. "I'll see if I can clear up this fog so we can see." Brutis shut his eyes and concentrated. Air currents, please change. Blow this mist away! He felt the air rushing around, trying to blow the fog away, but, since he kept his eyes closed to focus on the spell, he didn't know if it was working.

[bg=black][atrb=cellpading,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,521,true] Something seriously pissed him off here, he wasn't sure if it was the fact he was thinking of helping complete utter strangers(including that being females), or for the sheer fact someone was telling him what to do. His purple eyes turned to the male who tried to wisp the mist away and he scoffed. Turning to nocte as she spoke. No duh, there was something wrong. "I doubt this is something planned, if so, they would be trying a different tactic. I'd have to say this is something oddly unintelligent. Still, if we get zoned in it's bad. It may be dangerous but the best way to go about would be to scatter. In groups of five or ten." Alec nodded his head to the one guard from erebus who's teeth enveloped with blood from his own gums. Shooting out towards Alec the king let his mouth open to light the blood on fire, causing it to boil. Steam from the blood began to cover the ground, spreading the scent. "If they have any sense of smell, this should mask it" he whispered looking at his children. Kamaki didn't seem very phased, with a blank expression he simply did as he was told watching his father.
A deafning growl shot throughout. Following by a black mangled mass of a body being thrown at Alec. Like tar it stuck to his fur popping with bubbles on it's forehead and glowing red eyes. The creature chuckled at hissed at him. "Damn, Foreign Sprits" he growled as they came from all sides, even the middle of the ground. Their movements and attacks definitely not planned, but more intelligent than the norm. "Split into groups, try to balance out strengths and weaknesses among each other. We don't have much time so do it now." He yelled out as his guard clamped it's jaws on the foreign spirit and threw it off. Alec stood up and ran to the side, waiting by Kiana's side, simply because he had children to protect.

Fett was completely unsure of what was going on now. He had been listening, then suddenly an attack? Blood? He was beginning to get scared. He'd encountered a Foreign Spirit only once, and it had only been one. If this was more than one, he was worried. He cast a glance at Azhar and gave a nod, a nod that asked Azhar to go with him. Like Alec had said, they should scatter into groups. And, well, Fett decided he couldn't very well let his new friend be hurt! So, with the nod telling Azhar to follow, Fett scattered as Alec had said. He was worried about Kiana, but he knew Alec would protect her. "I'm a water wolf, Azhar," Fett called. "What are you? We may have to fight..." But really, Fett hoped they could just run and escape with no fighting, but it seemed unlikely. And with how big and fat he was, that would be a bit hard for him. He wasn't sure if he could use his spell that allowed him to swallow pretty much anything whole or not, he didn't know if it'd work on a Foreign Spirit. He hoped, but odds weren't in his favor, or so he thought.

Amara wasn't sure was going on but by the way her father and mother were acting it wasn't very good. She listened to her father and did as she was told by him as well. Kiana wanted to keep her children safe. Alec stood by her side, she flicked an ear Amara was the runt so she was the weakest and that meant Kiana had to keep an extra eye on her but Kiana wanted to protect both her children Amara just had a disadvantage. Amara tilted her head wondering what was going on. Her, mother Kiana stood up on all four paws. Kiana already knew that Alec was fire and she, herself was a water wolf. She wasn't sure how that would balance out. But she would find out. She, looked at Alec. Amara flattened her ears and looked at her brother as if he knew what was going on.

As Alec said to split up into groups, trying to pair up with wolves who had different strengths and weaknesses, his thoughts automatically went to Nocte. She was the only one in this whole party he knew personally. Even if they didn't pair up, she'd probably have some idea who he should go with.
Splitting up didn't seem like a good idea, staying together when Brutis had no idea what he was up against seemed like almost as bad an option, and so splitting into groups seemed the way to go.
"Nocte," he projected, making sure he could be clearly heard, but not sounding like he was panicking or desperate. He kept saying her name as he quickly but cautiously walked toward where he last heard her voice.
