Welcome to the FAQ, where we ask a bunch of questions in the hopes that the information will help you! If you have a question that I didn't ask in this thread, you can post it here, where I will edit the question into this post.
1. Where should I start?
Well, first you should click on the guide board and look for the rules and all the important stuff, the guide is a linked board to all the stuff you should read.
2. I've read the guide. Now what?
Introduce yourself, make a character, and start roleplay! Get familiar with the family in the chat box.
3. What happens to my characters if I miss an activity check?
Most likely they will be moved to archives, unless posted in the away boards. But if you decide to come back, then by request we can move the bio back.
4. What happens to my account if I miss an activity check?
The first activity check you miss, your characters will be moved, the second, your account will be deleted. Activity checks are held monthly.
5. How many characters can I have?
As many as you can handle =3, there is no limit.
6. How do I get entered into "of the month" contests?
Someone has to nominate you, so get out there and make yourself known.
7. I made a pack and it's been broken up. Can I make a new one or remake the old one?
It depends on the reason, it it's due to inactivity your free to try and revive it, for other reasons you will have to apply again.
8. If I have conflicts with one of the members on here, how do I resolve it?
Pm Riv or Teu straight away, we will work it out then.
9. What do I do if I have problems with the staff?
Deal with it! No just kidding, if any staff is not doing their job, or is being "mean" to members, pm me, and if you have a problem with me, then just pm me I'll see what I can do, since I don't want to be mean.
10. Is there an age limit for your members? In other words, is there such thing as being too young or too old to join?
According to proboards rules you have to be thirteen, and that means, if you are younger, we can get deleted so please be at least thirteen, any old is fine, we accept old 50 year olds here even xD. Other then that, as long has you can handle a little bit of violence and mild cussing your free to join.
11. I have a problem with the staff's judgement on something. Who do I talk to about it?
Pm me, and we will work it out.
12. Is it possible for my wolf to die in RP?
Yes, but only if you want to, it's all up to the roleplayer, but we do ask, when aging characters, if your wolf is around 17-19 kill them off, even then, you can roleplay them as ghosts.
13. If I leave, what becomes of my characters?
If by request of you leaving, we will put them up for adoption, but if you just vanish, they will be archived.
14. How do I join the staff?
staff auditions! Usually the side bar will tell you when we are currently looking for staff.
15. How do I join an event?
There will be sign up threads posted for those.
16. What happens if I come up with an event, but no one participates in it?
Staff are the only one's allowed to make events, but if you have suggestions feel free to pm us, and if nobody joins, then.....we'll have to delete it.
17. I want to plot something, but no one seems to notice my thread. What do I do about it?
Talk about it! Pm members, post the thread in the chat box, spread the word!
18. If I send you a PM, how long will it be until you reply?
Depends on the staff, Riv tends to reply quickly, but we have to say though, it will either be less then a day or a little more.
19. What do the colors on members' names mean?
Their ranks, colored are staff, normal are members.
20. How do I earn credits?
Here we call them magic, and you earn it through a special system, you can find it in the guide.
21. If I decide to sell my art, what prices should I set?
Up to you, but I suggest you ask the opinion of other members. If it's really high, you'll need to lower it.
22. What should I do if I can't keep up with all the changes around here?
Ask lots and lots of questions. We love to answer them, even the staff themselves are learning new things about the site.
23. I think I could make a great skin and banner. Who do I talk to about that?
You'd have to pm riv about that. But a lot of times the only time your able to do that, is through contests.
24. I can't write as much as you want me to! Is that a problem and if it is, how big of one is it?
It isn't much of a problem here because we don't have a word limit. All we ask is just for at least five sentences. And if you can't do that, then why are you roleplaying?
25. Can I have multiple accounts?
We are a multiple account site, one account per character, so yes. We would prefer if you do not keep all characters on one account, makes the site look a bit messy.
26. I want to make a character that is wolf like, but not exactly a wolf what do I do?
Here on Foreign spirits we encourage your creativity, sometimes your best bet is to either just make a bio with the species you think it will fit, or pm me for approval. The worse that could happen is that we request you suggest it as a species, or make it a spirit/ghost that has forgotten what they look like.
27. Is it only wolves you rp on here, what about other canines?
Currently it's only wolves, but as we gain new members and have more contests, there will be a chance to create species that are canines and not wolves.
28.I don't understand anything, not even how to find the password to the creation board!
Okay so whenever something or everything is confusing make sure you've read through EVERYTHING, if then. You can pm me a load of questions and I may just add them here. Questions are loved don't be afraid to ask.
