it was the wicked and wild wind . . . .
Bright white teeth gleamed as he smiled, sniffing the air gleefully as he stood on the very tips of his toes, carefully pressing his paws down on the ground for no specific reason. Claws pressed hard against the tough dirt, the soft crunch of dead grass the only music around to hear. It felt like nighttime, but he knew better. Now bounding, he looked up at an ashen tree in wonder. It looked dead, but strangely he felt as if it was still alive, or barely holding on to life, just like the rest of the land. Maybe it was how the leaves of this tree were a dark violet hue, and despite how gloomy they seemed, they still vibrated with rich, purple life. It was quite enchanting to look at.
But something bright stole his gaze away from the odd tree, and for a moment, he stared in the distance. There was a light. Not a bright, joyous light, but one that just added to the theme of death that this land seemed to have. And in the distance... two, unmoving wolves, from where the threatening light came from. Smiling, he pranced over, taking his sweet time to enjoy the short journey there. After all, he had never seen a land like this before.
As he got closer, though, Azhar realized that these wolves, in fact, were not real. They were made of stone, stone that looked like two proudly standing wolves, one of which had that same, brightly burning light atop it's head. It was a light unlike any other, bright, but easy to look at, unlike the sun. It also made him feel warm, warmer than he already did in this midday summer's heat. He looked to the other side of him, where there was more light at the foot of the other large stone that looked like a wolf. It was peculiar, how these colossal statues got here, and why? He tip-toed over to the heated light at the base of the second stone, reaching out a paw to touch it.

. . . . blew down the doors to let me in
