FAMILY: Noah(Father-deceased)
Water Goddess(Mother-MIA)
Gloria(Auntie-deceased)
HISTORY Born to the water goddess and and a water elemental father, Malaika naturally had great expectations thrust upon her by her father . When the water goddess disappeared her father's expectations grew. He felt that Malaika needed to live up to her mother's status and to honor her lineage. However Malaika was not interested, instead wanting to play with other pups, but unfortunately since she was still a puppy she had to obey her father's will whether she wanted or not. Of course it took little time for Malaika to see that it was his way or the highway and her being a pup, well she couldn't take the highway just yet. So Malaika was kept under close watch by her father and eventually her auntie after her mother vanished.
For a year Malaika practiced honing her magic under her father's tutelage. She was taught just about everything he knew and she even picked up some tips on using her natural given looks from auntie. Basically while her father was training her to be strong in her magic, her auntie was training her to strong in her looks. Malaika favored her auntie more, she didn't have to redo spells over and over again and wasn't scrutinized for every mistake she made. But as she grew she began to understand more of why her father was so hard on her.
Come the end of said year Malaika had finally gained her father's praise but it was short lived. The fates had decided that her father's life be taken by a fire elemental. The old age of her father had lost to the roaring youth of his opponent. Malaika was very sad, despite the days of harsh training she had to put up from her father she still loved him. Plus with barely no memories of her mother Malaika felt alone. Her auntie tried to console her but it only worked so well, Malaika slipping into depression every now and then. Eventually Malaika grew distant from her auntie and the two went their separate ways. Malaika seeking a pack to join.

ROLE PLAY SAMPLE: It was better off this way. Malaika had all she needed to survive in the world, at least by herself. And besides when Malaika was with her auntie she barely noticed her at times. When she got depressed her auntie didn't even register with her and when she came out of her depression she wanted nothing to do with her former caretaker. Yes, Malaika was well of by herself, she had the skills to make it, her father had made sure of that and her auntie helped out with that too.
Dusk was setting in and Malaika was moving slower then usual. It was time for her to rest. Her legs weren't hurting but she beginning to feel sluggish. A soft growl from her stomach told her that she was also hungry. Well that was just great. She was too tired to hunt, maybe she could just go to sleep and her hunger would dissolve as she slept. Another more sharp growl from her stomach told her otherwise however.
The grey female put her nose to the ground and sniffed. She only received the scents of rabbits and old droppings from various animals. There were fox droppings, deer dropping, and even rabbit droppings. Malaika did not have the energy to go chasing after a rabbit and foxes weren't her thing so she decided to go for the deer. If she followed their scent she might come across them. And Malaika followed the scent coming to dull trails and then back tracking to follow what smelt like more fresh ones. But as she followed the trails she noted how even more sluggish she had become. That's when she stopped and growled.
" I give. " Malaika said flatly, " I refuse to do this. I know I'm patient but I'm tried to and guess who wins? " she asked rhetorically to no one. Suddenly a loud and terrified baying sound broke through the silence. Malaika hurried along after it.
Not to long into following the continued baying sounds she had come upon a doe fending off two wolves with a buck by her side. From the looks of it the doe was badly wounded with blood running down her left hind leg. Malaika smiled and watched as the buck rammed at the two wolves with his rack of antlers. One wolf dodged out of the way while the other received an unfortunate hit causing it to yelp in pain. More blood filled the air. The other wolf who had moved out of the buck's way saw it's alley dripping blood from the attack and snarled at the buck but instead of attacking it the wolf turned to it's friend, who was now limping toward a bush in shame, and helped it get away.
Wasting no time on the wolves who had disappeared Malaika switched her attention back to the doe who had lain down on the ground with it's leg to still bleeding. Malaika walked out toward them stopping when the buck looked up threateningly at her. She snarled but did not move, instead she looked at the doe and focused on her wound before the blood began to move like a steady stream that was being pulled out of her leg. The doe kicked futilely and bayed out it's distress making buck enraged. That's when the buck began moving toward Malaika which caused Malaika to back up quickly bringing the blood drawing to a halt. Malaika stopped after a while and looked at the buck who had his gazed trained the grey wolf before she decided to slink into the bushes. She's lay behind the bushes and wait. Even if she fell asleep she'd at least be right there where the doe was. Perhaps the doe would be dead when she woke up.
