Irena flicked her tail behind her as she looked forward. Her blue eyes collecting every source of light there was. This, was her element. She could not be shown up in the race of hunting. She was one of the best. This was where she honestly felt at home. A small buck stopped to the side. Making her stop, it was some ways off, but with her good sense of tracking skills, her head turned towards it. As she lowered her body, her bones reacted. Irena was a hunter in all her being. Half of her had forgotten Deimos was there. She moved forward, hidden in the tree's perfectly with her natural colors. The silver and brown twun moved forward. Her sharp twun fangs digging into the scent of the buck. As she stopped, and crunched lower, her paws scratching like a cat against the dirt. Her eyes narrowing at the target.
The buck munched on the lush leaves of the forest. As the sun filtered through the tree's like a spotlight. Irena's throat let out a slight growl. As it came near the bush she hid in. Her back arched and she shot out, landing on its back. The animal kicked back. As her claws dug into its flesh. Her muzzle enveloped over its neck, her long fangs did not puncture it, her other teeth strangled its wind pipe. Until it began to settle down and not breath. Kicking, but her grip only tightened. The larger piece of prey stopped breathing quickly. The pressure of her bite was stronger then an average wolfs, being a twun it was only natural being able to bring down larger prey then her first form.

Deimos had heard her stop, and as she did so did he. She seemed to have caught the scent of something, and had all but forgotten of his presence here. She had dropped to the ground, and began to move toward the prey by ways of hiding in the trees. The king followed suit, dropping low to the ground, and quickly moving in after her. He didn't think he would need to help her, but he wanted to see how the female operated. She had taken up residence in a bush near the buck. She must have had a second sense, and known that the buck would soon walk into his own death trap, his ivories nibbling on the lush greenery that would nourish his body, and keep him healthy. That is, had he not ran into a maniacal King, and his consort. The King had taken shelter in the shadows, his multi colored optics shining brightly as he watched the buck near his soon to be killer. It happened so fast he could hardly keep up with it. As Irena shot from the bushes like a bat out of hell his own muscles tensed, and he leaned forward on his columns in his anticipation.
She had surprised the buck by leaping upon his back, and startling it. Before it had time to react much more than a single leap of surprise her jowls were latching onto it's wind pipe, and applying pressure. It was amazing really, that she was able to bring down a buck all by herself. Granted, the buck was the size of a doe, but had her plans and execution not be spot on she would have met the wrath of his rack. Thankfully, this was not the case, and Deimos would not have to dirty his paws again - for now. He watched with fascination as she brought the buck down to its knees, and then it's side, its sides heaving for air. The more it kicked the harder she bit, and the harder she bit the less air it would be able to drag into its suffocating lungs. In all his ears of killing he had developed an ability to know when ones spirit was leaving the mortal world. His optics quickly roamed over its body, observing the random twitchiness of its limbs, and the spastic heaving of it's sides.
He imagined, if he could see it, that its optics were becoming glassy, and dull, just like a dolls eye. Finally, after a few tense moments the buck had all but stopped moving. He couldn't believe it. The female was an adequate killer, and he had placed her as a hunter!? Irena didn't know it, but she had opened up the Kings eyes. He believed that females could be adequate killers, but that wasn't in their favor. In the future, they would probably become assassins, and nothing more. Never would they allow a female into politics. He stepped from the shadows, cautious of how he approached the female simply because he did not know how her second form would react to him closing in her kill. He cleared his throat, and said two simple words. "I'm impressed."

As Irena lifted her head with Deimos approaching, she rolled her eyes. Yeah right, not even the animals were impressed with her killing skills. She herself had been the daughter of leaders. They had been loners, but then started up a family. In which Erebus himself had torn down, killed her mother, father, and her two younger sisters who had looked up to her deeply. Her paws released, and she hopped off. With a flick of her tail. "Well it was only a small buck, he probably just reached adulthood." She commented. Judging by its size. Though she would have probably had no trouble bringing down a bigger one. She sat down and began to lick her paws covered in the blood of the animal. She didn't need to eat like other wolves, after all, she had drank Deimos' blood. A twun did not need to feed again until the bite marks on its victim left, specially if it was a wolf. That was still alive.

A snarl slowly formed in the back of his throat. Her eye roll did not go unnoticed. Just because he had taken a slight liking to her didn't mean she could start disrespecting him. Clearly, he would have to start being an ass hole again to be sure to get the point across. He walked up to examine the buck, and nodded his handsome crown. "Oh, yes. It appears to be small. Forgive me for giving you a compliment. It won't happen again. In fact, since you feel as if you haven't proven yourself enough, you can drag the deer back to the pack lands. I'll supervise. Get to it." And with that, he started forward with out her, his movements jerky, and hard. He would get the point across. She would understand. Just because he started to show her some type of mercy didn't mean that she could go around rolling her eyes, and acting as if she had a mind of her own. It simply was not necessary. It was actually very irritating to him. He snorted, and glanced over his shoulder at her, his optics daring her to disagree with him. He only hoped he didn't meet her second form this way.

Irena looked at Deimos clearly as he spoke. Trying to sound all macho, if it had been Alec, then, it would be a whole other story, but it wasn't. This was the king she had , sadly enough, devoted her life sentence to whatever the cause. As he turned, she could help but smile and laugh silently. He gave her better treatment then anyone else. Usually they'd injure her THEN tell her to bring back the giant piece of prey. Entirely, Deimos looked like a small pup walking away, all quirky. Boy, Irena, what kind of mess did you drag yourself into this time? Her mouth over the head, avoiding the horns she pulled it onto her back as if she would and injured wolf. Then, began walking back, quick to catch up to Deimos. Though she did not dare speak another word. Even if she was happy, he could ruin that in a split second if he were to think that she was making fun of him. She was enjoying this, she was enjoying /him/.

In all honesty, if this had been any other female he would have injured them first, and put the fear of the gods in them. However, this was Irena, and while he wasn't being particularly kind to her he still wasn't being utterly terrible to her. If he wanted to, he could have sliced her throat open, and then told her to carry the kill back all by herself. Wolves were not like humans. A cut to the throat wouldn't kill them as easily as it would a human, but bleeding out was still a very big deal. He threw a glance over his shoulder at the female, and arched a brow at her. In truth, he wasn't surprised that she could carry the kill on her back all by herself. She was a strong female with a strong will. He chuckled lowly, but soon after he was still. "Stop." He commanded, his audits perked forward, and nose sniffing the air. There was something out there. Perhaps a predator? Maybe a bear. Or a mountain lion. What ever it was, it wanted the food. Deimos took a step forward as if he were challenging the beast, and a growl was heard from nearby bushes. What was this thing?

Irena stopped when Deimos told her to, as her blue eyes turned over a deep alert green as she looked from side to side. She didn't want to lose the kill, no matter what the animal was, but since she was with Deimos perhaps he could handle it? The scent filling her nose as her green eyes changed into a deep purple. This wasn't good, not at all. As Irena began to back up a few steps, the hissing growl grew and a giant white creature stood in front of the two of them. It's black markings all over it's body, it was a little bigger then Deimos. Long overgrown claws and sharp teeth. It was a Winlow, ferice creatures who wanted to tear into everything. Irena pinned her ears back as she watched Deimos, what was he going to do.
The winlow growled as it came closer, the male wasn't in the mood to deal with wolves. As he lowered his large head his beady yellow eyes looking at Deimos. Mouth open he wanted that thing they had killed. He was hungry even though he had just eaten a full doe, he wanted more. Perhaps he was scumming to gluttony?

As the creature stepped from the bushes, Deimos hackles rose on end. What the hell was a Winlow doing near Erebus? This was a potential threat, one that he didn't want to wind up over his boarders, and terrorizing his members. A throaty growl was expelled up his vocal cords, and into the atmosphere. The Winlow was a violent creature. The claws were very dangerous as was it's bite. This would not be a easily fight at all. "Irena. What ever you do, don't give up the kill. I will not be pushed around just because he's bigger than I am." The Winlow took a moved toward Deimos, and Irena, forcing Deimos to take a few steps back. He wasn't stupid, and wasn't looking to get his leg ripped off. His audits lay flat against his skull, and ebony lips pulled back to reveal his own deadly ivories. A snarl ripped from the red brutes chest. He wasn't going to back down. He was an alpha of one of the most notorious packs, and well feared packs around. What would he look like if he tucked tail, and ran?
His jowls parted once more to bark savagely, spittle being flung all over the terra in front of him. His muscles were tensed, but loose enough so he could dodge an attack if need be. His multi hued optics watched every move the male made. This was going to be a battle, but which one would die? Which one would walk away? Irena, for sure.

The winlow watched the male stand over the female, with the kill. Was he protecting her or the kill? The creature raised up on it's giant hind legs and brought it's paws down forward, it wasn't looking to attack Deimos. It was using an earth spell to raise the earth to catch him off guard. The rocks fell and rose underneath them. Hopefully it would catch the female as well.
Irena could feel the earth under her rising up. As she was quick to back up. She noted that Deimos was now higher then she was, she felt as if she was sinking. Though she knew she was a female, she felt the need to protect him. As she kept hold of the prey and stood her ground. She would watch, Deimos was king, he could take care of himself could he not?

Deimos could feel the earth rumbling underneath him, and he dared to take a fleeting glance down. As he did, the bulk of earth he stood upon charged up into the air, and jostled him around a little bit. His gaze quickly probed into his opponent once more. He didn't move, not an inch. His columns locked in place, and he lowered his crown in a defensive measure. The bulk of his weight was leaning towards his hind legs in a way to steady himself. Little electric sparks were dancing from his paws, and scattering across the terra in warning. He would stand his ground. He would protect what was rightfully his, and what was his was this female, and the kill. He would not settle for anything less.

The Winlow had made his opening, he was now speeding up the rocks in a formation only he could understand. As his claws dug into the dirt, his muscles rippled across the surface of the skin. He didn't pay mind to the small sparks across the ground, they did not phase the animal. As he let out a feirce growl and sent his claws forward to attempt to knock him straight off the mountain, maybe even claw him in the process. The Winlow seemed to be a seasoned fighter with wolves, but he wasn't paying attention to anything. As he used his efforts to knock him off the mountain he slightly payed attention to where his target was.
Irena watched, as her eyes opened wide, she was slightly terrified of what was going to happen to Deimos. Her light purple eyes illuminating as she held fast to her position. The twun flicked her tail as she watched the Winlow. The giant creature was almost like a bear, but with more brains. These savage creatures were a threat, wherever they were. Irena didn't sit right with any of this.

Deimos's optics grew wider as he watched the Winlow race up the rock formations, and toward him. He was moving in transitions that only the Winlow himself could understand. Deimos allowed his gaze to harden on his opponent. He didn't seem to have any game plan, or line of defense. On the inside, the flames were growing, and preparing themselves to be put to use. He was dragging out every spell in the book. If need be, he would summon the fire wolves. Doing so could put him in immediate danger because the longer he allowed them to do his bidding the more they drained him of his power. The more they drained him of his power the closer he got to passing out. Before the red wolf knew it the Winlow was upon him. His claws and forearms were extended to knock the he-wolf off his perch, but he wouldn't allow it. His muscles tightened, and propelled his bodice back away from the threat. Unfortunately, he hadn't moved fast enough, and two of the beasts claws made contact with his shoulder.
It threw him off balance, and tossed him closer to the edge. He escaped most of the bulk of this creatures power, but the nudge had nearly thrown him over all by it's self. He dug his paws and claws into the rock formation, and stopped himself from going over the edge. His shoulder stung from where the talons of the Winlow had tore his skin, but he ignored it. With out a second thought he opened his jowls up wide, and flames shot out of his mouth in an attempt to blast the winlow right off of the rock formations.

The Winlow may not have succeeded, but he was happy with the results as the wolf was taken by surprise. With it being a fire wolf, he could feel the heat within him as the giant creature clamped his jaws on Deimos' front right leg. Throwing his head back he carried the body with him and managed to get him to the other side of him. The Winlow let a deep growl escape his throat as he raised a paw to try and strike into the wolf.
Irena felt helpless as she stood there watching as the Winlow grabbed hold of Deimos. She dropped the deer close to her and put her paws on the hills of rocks. She did not dare call out though, as her heart beat faster. Her eyes narrowed as she waited for a sign of him. Irena wasn't going to just sit back and watch Deimos get beat for much longer.

Deimos felt his leg being gripped by the Winlow's jowls, and tossed onto the other side of him. Deimos hit the ground with a sickening thud, and pain shooting from his shoulder into his ribs. If he had to guess what had happened it would have been his shoulder getting pulled out of socket, and dislocating a few ribs. What a joy. He was always taught to fight through pain, that it was just weakness leaving the body. He jumped back up to his paws, and let out a vicious bark. As the Winlow raised a paw to strike into Deimos he leaped as nimbly as a three legged wolf could away, and successfully avoided the attack. Deimos quickly searched deep inside of him for his lightning spell, and once he found it he poured effort into it. The blue electricity raced from his bodice in a thick strand, and made a bee-line for the Winlow. If it hit, the Winlow wouldn't like it. It may stun him, and if it did, Deimos and Irena were going to turn tail and run because Deimos was not going to get killed over this.
Out of the corner of his eye he could see Irena had put the kill down. She disobeyed his order, but that's not what shocked him. What shocked him was that she was showing the upmost concern for his well being.

The winlow was in full rage when suddenly, the wolf had released a spell on him. Coming in full contact with his body the electricity moved through him, but his earth element, made it cross bridge so that it made a pathway away from his heart. The electricity made him lunge forward and growl deep in his gullet as he pulled his jaws onto Deimos to drag him down with him. The winlow got caught on the rocks as the two of them tumbled down the spell made mountain. His claws scraped on the rock as it yowled, when they made impact into the ground. Groaning for a small while in his stunned manner.
Irena gasped as the two came tumbling down, she quickly grabbed the deer and tugged it out of the way as they fell. Causing a large thump as they made contact with dirt. Irena stood over the kill protectively, though her patience was running out. She was at least sticking to her duty.
